In 2001, this cartoon appeared in The Washington Times. It is by a cartoonist by the name of Garner. Sometimes it is difficult to find the humor even in a cartoon. Mr. Garner has captured one of the harsh realities of veteran's affairs in this country today. Mr. Garner is a great American and his cartoon is awarded; The MEDICINE CABINET HONORABLE MENTION.

This cartoon was originally published in early 2006 by The Washington Post. The original caption was; "I'm listing your condition as battle hardened." However, Jere Beery felt his caption below was more ironic and truthful.

This cartoon appeared in the Las Vegas Review Journal in May of 2006.
